POSITION SUMMARY
Amtel is one of the major and the fastest growing telecommunication companies in Somalia. The main Responsibility of the Digital Media Officer is for developing, implementing, and managing marketing campaigns that promote a company’s products and services. In addition, the digital media officer is also responsible for managing the company’s social media accounts and analyse data to determine the most effective strategies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key functions of this position include the following:
• Design and produce creative assets for various marketing channels, including digital and print media and develop visual concepts, layouts, and graphics for marketing campaigns, advertisements, and promotional materials.
• Identifying the target audience and creating digital campaigns to inform, engage and motivate them towards specific goals using digital marketing strategies to drive traffic and create an invaluable customer experience.
• Form strong relationships with influencers, bloggers, and businesses to enhance outreach initiatives
• Managing all digital marketing platforms using a variety of digital marketing tools.
• Developing effective user funnels, ensuring conversion points are optimized.
• Implementing the company’s SEO strategy in all web-based marketing initiatives and training others to follow the same protocol.
• Collaborating with the marketing team on the concept, development and implementation of digital marketing plans.
• Working with other creative teams within the company or externally to help with marketing campaigns when needed.
• Ensuring all digital marketing communications are distributed effectively, internally and externally.
• Analyzing digital metrics to identify and review trends and insights and using the data to optimize performance.
• Design and Manage Staff Identification cards in liaison with Human Resources Department.
• Reporting on the performance of digital marketing processes and providing actionable insights by tracking goals such as ROI and key performance indicators (KPI).
• Ensuring all current marketing and copyright regulations, accepted professional standards, policies, procedures and legislation are adhered to across the team.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Expertise in digital marketing, with a strong understanding of social media platforms, search engine optimization, and digital advertising.
2. Proficiency in content creation, including writing, graphic design, and video production for various digital channels.
3. Familiarity with the latest digital trends, technologies, and best practices in the telecommunications industry.
4. Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic and rapidly evolving digital landscape, with the ability to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
5. Creativity and innovation in developing engaging, user-centric digital experiences that align with Amtel’s brand and marketing objectives.
6. Understanding of customer behavior, user experience design, and conversion optimization principles.
