Position: Professional GIS Trainer (Part-Time)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Professional GIS (Geographic Information System) Trainer to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GIS, excellent teaching abilities, and a passion for sharing their expertise. As a trainer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality GIS training programs to help individuals and organizations enhance their GIS skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Course Development: Design and develop comprehensive GIS training materials, including presentations, handouts, exercises, and real-world case studies, tailored to the needs of various professional audiences.
Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and interactive GIS training sessions, both in-person and online, focusing on enhancing participants’ GIS skills and knowledge.
Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate participants’ progress through practical assessments and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
Customization: Adapt training content to address the specific needs and goals of different groups or individuals.
Support and Guidance: Offer ongoing support and guidance to participants to ensure the application of learned GIS skills in their professional environments.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in GIS and incorporate them into the training programs.
Skills and Qualifications
Requirements:

Proven experience in GIS, including practical application in professional settings.
Previous experience in training, teaching, or coaching, preferably in a technical or professional development context.
Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and related tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple training sessions.
A degree in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
